Robot Challenges

a-MAZE-ing Challenge

Our event goals: Fun while Learning, Sharing, and Teamwork…Winning is secondary

Challenge Goal: To design, build and program a robot capable of completing an elevated maze in 2 minutes or less. The faster you can complete this tasks increases your overall score

Open to: teams of 2 to 3 players in:

  • High School division
  • Elementary School division
  • Middle School division

Materials/Requirements:

  • The 2017 a-MAZE-ing track is designed with standard particle board measuring ~ 1.9 cm (thickness) x ~25.4 cm (width)
  • Track designs will be a combination of straight lengths varying from ~30.5 cm to ~366 cm
  • Turns will be a combination of right and/or left 45-, 90-, and 135- degree angles
  • Three minutes to finish your division’s section
  • NO external sensors
  • Any autonomous robot platform
  • Teams of 2 to 3 players
